1969 Chevrolet Impala & Impala Super Sport

Once again the Super Sport Impala was available only as an option in 1969. Optioned as the Z24 this SS Impala came exclusively with a 427ci V8 with 335/390/425 horsepower. The Z24 option was available only on the Impala convertible, Sport Coupe, or Custom Coupe. Once again most of the redesign for the Impala line appeared in the front grill area and the triple vertical taillights in the rear bumper area. Another immediately noticed feature was the missing vent windows on the '69. This new ventless front window design was used on all '69 models.
